Current Research:

Dr. Wingate’s research investigates the interpersonal causes, correlates, and consequences of suicidal behavior. Specifically, she is interested in resilience, strengths, protective factors, suicide risk assessment, treatment, and suicidality in ethnic minority groups. Dr. Wingate has published numerous peer-reviewed papers, several of which are on suicidal behavior and depression.
