Laboratory for the Study of Suicide Risk and Resilience

Current Research:

 

Dr. Wingate’s research investigates the interpersonal causes, correlates, and consequences of both suicidal behavior and depression. Specifically, she studies resilience, symptom specificity and possible mechanisms of stress generation in depression. She is also interested in suicide risk assessment, treatment, risk factors, and suicidality in ethnic minority groups.
