Department of Psychology Diversity Committee

The Oklahoma State University Department of Psychology celebrates and promotes diversity, anti-racism, and inclusion in everything we do, including teaching, advocacy, and research. We have two independent, collaborative diversity committees. The Diversity Committee is composed of self-selected voluntary members of both faculty and graduate students. The Student Diversity Committee is composed of self-selected graduate students from both the Experimental and Clinical Psychology programs.

  • These committees seek to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive environment that facilitates growth for all students, faculty, and staff.
  • We view diversity, equity, and inclusion as central to our departmental values.
  • We aspire to cultivate and support diversity in all forms with respect to personnel, research, teaching, service, and departmental climate.
  • Through the collaborative efforts of faculty and student members, we are committed to celebrating, supporting and promoting the safety, well-being, and success of all members of our community.

Both committees meet on a regular basis. We are in the process of developing initiatives that will impact the curriculum, research, and clinical training.
