The Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University was established in 1958. The department teaches undergraduate and graduate courses with a faculty of 18 full-time members. There are over 500 undergraduate students majoring in psychology and approximately 45 graduate students in the department.

We maintain a Psychology Diversified Students Program. This program encompasses the recruitment of individuals from under-represented and under served populations. This program also oversees retention services for all graduate students.

The department offers admissions in the Doctor of Philosophy degree in two programs, clinical psychology and lifespan developmental psychology.

Located in North Murray Hall, the department is near the center of the OSU campus. Laboratories are equipped with personal computers for automatic presentation of stimuli, recording psychophysiological data and other response parameters, to control experiments, and establish data files. Well-equipped laboratories for comparative and physiological work are available as well. PsychInfo and Med Line are available over the internet through the University library for OSU students.
